Welcome to MeriWish. These terms are the simple agreement between you and us when you send a wish into the shared sky. Please read them.
01 Accepting these terms
By accessing or using the MeriWish website at meriwish.com or the MeriWish mobile app (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
02 What MeriWish is
MeriWish lets you write a short message — a wish, affirmation, gratitude, dream, or chant — and release it into a shared field where it drifts among messages from other people. It’s offered for personal reflection, hope, and enjoyment. The Service is provided free of charge and “as is.”
03 Who can use it
You may use MeriWish only if you can form a binding agreement with us under the laws that apply to you, and only in compliance with these terms and all applicable laws. If you are a minor in your region, you should use MeriWish only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
04 Your messages and conduct
You are responsible for the messages you release. By releasing a message, you confirm you have the right to share it and that it doesn’t break these terms or any law. Remember that every message is public.
You agree not to submit content that:
- is hateful, harassing, threatening, or promotes violence or discrimination;
- is sexually explicit, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate;
- is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, or infringes anyone’s rights;
- contains another person’s private or personal information;
- impersonates any person or organisation, or is spam, advertising, or solicitation;
- contains malware, links to harmful sites, or attempts to disrupt the Service.
05 The permission you give us
You keep ownership of what you write. By releasing a message, you grant MeriWish a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that message within and in connection with the Service (for example, showing it in the field and including it in the count). This licence lets us operate the Service and continues for any messages that remain public.
06 Our content and brand
The MeriWish name, logo, design, text, graphics, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our permission, except as allowed by law.
07 The mobile app and app stores
If you download the MeriWish app, your use is also subject to the rules of the app store you obtained it from (such as Google Play). The app store is not responsible for the Service, and these terms are between you and us, not the app store.
08 Third-party links and services
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
09 No guarantees
MeriWish is offered for hope, reflection, and enjoyment. It does not promise or guarantee any outcome, result, or fulfilment of any wish. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MeriWish and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or from content shared through it.
11 Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless MeriWish from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your messages, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12 Suspension and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also restrict or end your access if you breach these terms or misuse the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will change, and continuing to use MeriWish means you accept the revised terms.
13 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
